Our Operations & Tracking System
Every Box Has A Barcode
Before a box is brought to our facility, this box must be barcoded and inventoried in your records. Upon arrival at Sentry, this box is scanned to correspond with its shelving location. This barcode allows us to keep track of all activity for each box.
Files Are Also Barcoded
Although we don't track every individual file as it comes into our system, any files that leave our facility are barcoded before departure. This way, if Janet calls for a file and its not in its box, we can let her know that Suzie checked that file out the prior week and that it has not yet been returned to us.
Reports Make Organizing Easier
At any time your inventory records get a little unorganized, we can send you a report to help straighten things up. This report can include as little as barcode numbers and their status, and as much as what files have been taken from what boxes on which dates.
Still Unorganized?
In many cases, an office has been through various record keepers, all of which kept records differently (and sometimes some who didn't keep records at all). In this case, we can offer you an on-site reference room where you or a member of your staff can reinventory those unorganized boxes. This way, you can review your records without having all those boxes in your office. This option saves money on delivery and pick up charges too!
